If you have a smartphone, you’re probably well aware of the importance of speed. After all, you don’t want to wait minutes for a video clip to download for your emails to load. It’s easy to see how speed can play a major role in your experience.

Choosing a smartphone should take speed into consideration. In many cases, you need to look at the provider as well as the network. Sometimes a provider doesn’t live up to your expectations; you can ask those around you if they’re happy with their network before you choose one for yourself.

One network to consider is the 4G network from T-Mobile. It has outperformed its competitors in AT&T and Verizon with its blazing fast speeds. Its translation is a fast and reliable experience seen on T-Mobile’s impressive lineup of phones.

Take, for instance, the LG G2x, which is an LG Android phone. This particular model supports 3D HD gaming, as well as the ability to stream HD movies and games in full 1080p to your TV. The phone also possesses the NVIDIA Tegra 2, T-Mobile’s first dual-core mobile processor. You’ll have an enjoyable multimedia experience, which is made that much better with the lightning-fast 4G network.

If you’re in the market for a new phone, always look toward speed, which is crucial whether you want rich multimedia use or business use. The 4G network from T-Mobile is the best in the business; don’t hesitate to check out what T-Mobile has to offer.

iPad or Android Tablet for Dad?

iPad Display Item

So you want to get your dad an awesome gift, but you’re not sure whether it should be an iPad or an Android tablet. While both have their pros and cons, they also have a certain appeal to different age groups.

A Baby Boomer tends to have a harder time working with an iPad, whereas an Android has an intuitive interface that most people can quickly understand. On the other hand, some dads have no problem with the iPad interface and must have the apps that only come on it.

Both tablets perform the same functions with little difference between the two. For example, making a purchase or paying a bill online with a prepaid card can be done on either tablet. Web surfing has no discernible difference on either device. Looking at files is nearly the same on both devices, too. The selection truly comes down to the interface and hardware.

Another thing to consider is their overall functionality. The original iPad is restricted in terms of being able to expand the memory, and Apple does not allow Flash to run on its OS. The iPad 2 has more flexibility, but it still does not have Flash.

Android tablets benefit from the open source nature of the OS and have expansion slots for memory. Some dads may not be overly concerned with the lack of flexibility from the iPad. They may use it as a tertiary device. Other dads may use them as a primary device when they’re away from home.

Either device will make a great Father’s Day gift, but one may be the better option for your dad.

Manage Your Life through Android Apps

Android apps are the best things since sliced bread. In fact, eighty years of marketing notwithstanding, they might even be better than the much-lauded segmented loaf. While sliced bread might save you precious seconds during the adrenaline-soaked grudge match that is getting ready in the morning, it won’t let you organize your life nearly as well as your Android tablet will. You can pretty much keep everything under control, from the beginning of your day until its end.

First off, they make an Android tablet to keep you moving through every part of your day. If you have trouble getting up, you can always get an app for that. Once you are up, you can then set up your day one meeting at a time, and keep getting things done. Your to do list will be in the ICU in no time. All you have to do is punch up a great app for staying organized and getting things done. Once you’ve got the snowball in motion, it won’t be too long until you have can get started on tomorrow without having to end today.

Not to knock sliced bread, but it really doesn’t hold a candle to a solid suite of Android tablet apps, even if you leave it in the toaster for too long. As your day moves onward, you can take down notes on what else you need to do and even how you intend to get it knocked out with your Android. While you could theoretically do that on slices of bread, it wouldn’t be very long before your friends would stop admitting to knowing you when you’re in public.

CellPhone

Refurbished phones are gaining in popularity as cellphone technology is ever changing. These refurbished phones are used versions of cellphones that are offered by the cellphone company. However, before you commit to purchasing a refurbished phone you should educate yourself on the pros and cons that come with this type of purchase.

Here’s a look at the benefits of purchasing a refurbished phone.

Cheaper Than Brand New Phones

The biggest benefit of purchasing a refurbished phone is the ability to get some of the latest models of phones for a cheaper price. Refurbished phones tend to be less than purchasing a brand new phone. This allows people to switch out phones for newer models without having to shell out hundreds of dollars. Refurbished phones also do not require you to upgrade your contract which can save you hundreds of dollars.

Environmentally Friendly

People tend to purchase refurbished phones because it is an environmentally friendly way to purchase cellphones. Instead of a used phone being tossed in the garbage and ending in a landfill where it won’t be broken down, the phone is being reused and helping the environment.

Phone Warranty

All cellphone companies offer at least a 90-day warranty with the phone. This allows you to use the phone and make sure there are no problems with the phone. Many cellphone users like to have this security blanket in case they don’t like the phone or there is an electrical malfunction.

The cheaper price, environmentally friendly option and warranty are just some of the many reasons people choose to purchase a refurbished phone instead of a brand new cell phone.
